Here is Filippo writing.

I was born in Pistoia in 1996, but my parents early moved to Busto Arsizio, a small city close to Milan during my childhood. I've always been passionate and curious about almost everything involving problems and their solution and this has resulted in a vivid interest in scientific subjects. Today, I am a biomedical engineer graduate student with a strong background in biomechanics and biomaterials. I am currently enrolled in a double degree program between the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), USA, and Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
At the moment, I am employed as a volunteer researcher at Polo Tecnologico Fondazione Don Gnocchi, IRCCS "S. Maria Nascente", in Milan working at my MS thesis for Politecnico di Milano.
